“To Grow Old With Dogs” by Author Unknown-read by Kristin Magill

Since my childhood I have shared my life with family pets of all sorts. I had cats, mice, gerbils, a tree frog, a dog and even Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. My mother instilled in me a great respect for and love of animals that has followed me my entire life. Since my fiance and I have rescued five animals (3 cats and 2 dogs) and added them to our family I have really learned to appreciate the unique relationships we can form with animals. I can’t imagine ever being without that companionship, even as a I grow older.
This poem, “To Grow Old With Dogs” is a reflection of the future that I hope for-filled with friendship, love and lots and lots of fur.
